Orbit2Orbit Wins the 2025 DeepTech Award at the Australian Technologies Competition
17 September 2025
We’re thrilled to announce that Orbit2Orbit has won the DeepTech category of the 2025 Australian Technologies Competition (ATC)!
This recognition comes after months of rigorous judging, technical assessments, and national pitching. From over 200 applicants across the country, Orbit2Orbit emerged as a standout in a field that represents the cutting edge of Australian innovation. Winning the DeepTech award not only validates the importance of in-space transport, it confirms that what we’re building has the potential to change how humanity operates in orbit.
From the very beginning, Orbit2Orbit set out to solve a growing problem: space stations, science missions, and manufacturing platforms are multiplying in low Earth orbit, but reliable infrastructure to move cargo, reposition payloads, or return equipment to Earth simply doesn’t exist. We are building that infrastructure, modular, reusable, and refuelable vehicles that remain in orbit and create the backbone of a sustainable space economy.
Being recognised at a national level by industry experts and judges is not just a win for our company, it’s a win for the broader Australian space sector and for every partner, Orbit2Orbit Technology consortium member, advisor, and early believer who has supported this journey.
This award also strengthens our case with future partners and investors as we move into critical phases: the final development of Mission O, the demonstration of our Resist-1 propulsion system, and the commercialisation pathway that follows with Mission 1 and beyond. It underscores that what we are building isn’t just technically sound, it’s timely.
Orbit2Orbit is proud to be representing Queensland and the national deep-tech ecosystem as we continue to grow. We know the runway is long, the challenges are real, and the odds are high, but this award is a reminder that we’re on the right orbit.
Look up. Think forward.
